Supervillian alias: Fenris
Gender/Sex: Male
Age: 35
Height: 7'1"
Physique: Tone, hairy, long-armed.
Costume description: Leather jacket with fur lining, torn jeans.
Powers/Abilities: Possessed by the spirit of the demon-wolf, Fenris, for whom this character is named. Possesses a hyper-keen sense of smell, nightvision, and other senses.
Fenris is stronger than a normal human being, but his strength wanes with the moon. At his lowest strength, on a new moon, he is capable of lifting a small car, a Beetle, for example, over his head with a little difficulty. On the full moon, he is capable of casually swatting SUVs a dozen feet in the air.
Fenris may transition, on any night when the moon is out, between his human form and his demon-wolf form. As a weaker incarnation of the wolf who's jaws were said to have encompassed even the skies, Fenris loses most of his brute strength in favor of Fenris's Maw, allowing him to fluidly morph in size for the express purpose of increasing the diameter of his mouth. This, unlike his other powers, is tied both to the moon and the emotional state of Fenris.
Finally, Fenris possesses increased healing powers, allowing him to recover from wounds in days, not weeks, as well as an insatiable taste for human flesh, which increases his recovery to minutes.
Home City: Walsh
Citizen Alias: Clive Grenthrem
Backstory: The illiterate son of a Tennessee trucker, Clive Grenthrem was born out of wedlock into the poorest of the Deep South cities. Deeply insecure and psychotic, a psychological condition imparted on him by his insane, conservative mother, who filled his head with dreadful visions of hell, Grenthrem dropped out of high school early on. He wandered from job to job, eventually settling on the occupation of his estranged father-- a trucker.
Working the blue collar job for years, Grenthrem became psychotically fixated upon the flesh of young girls, and was, in 2006, charged with the murder of more than a half dozen young women, many of them hitchhikers or stranded travelers. Sentenced to life without parole ('I shurr did thank the state o' Pennsylvania fo' outlawin' th' death penalty'), Clive's life took an ominous turn when he and several inmates, being moved from one Federal supermax prison to another, were accidentally freed in a freak road accident, one stormy night.
Grenthrem, suddenly free, attempted to evade capture with his fellow inmates, but was separated. Lost in the forest, starving, Grenthrem was startled to witness the apparent suicide of a man in the forest, a Native American (the area was a conservation wood), who leaped off a cliff to his death.
Inspecting the body, Clive noted a large wolf tattoo that seemed to curl about the dead man's torso, and was suddenly struck with a primal hunger. As though goaded by the sneering eye of the wolf, he ate the body in a frenzy, blacking out next to the gnawed out bones of the Indian. He too, now, possessed a wolf's tattoo, and it whispered to him savage orders.
Hitchhiking or simply hiking across America, Clive made his way to Walsh, at first simply eating people along the way, women being his favorites, then using his newfound demonic powers to 'rob' banks (he massacred all inside).
When finally pressed by USSOCOM domestic operatives and SWORD, Clive, now taking on the moniker 'Fenris', retreated into the woods around Walsh, hiding as a hermit of sorts, suppressing as best he could his hunger, where he stays now, waiting for an event to loosen the government's hunt for him.
Other: In terms of personality, Clive is paradoxically superstitious, conservative, and extremely debauched and violent. He thinly justifies his behavior with accusations of the women's 'looseness', stating 'they were asking for it.'
