This is the maglev station designated for Florenceville and the surrounding countryside. Trains run to Mercury City Central Station, the Blackworks Central Station and sevreal other of the larger cities around.
It's a small building, much in the style of a 20th century train station.

Fourteenth steps off onto Maglev 49, after catching a cross country trip on the train.
After leaving the residence of the man named William, he'd decided that it would be best to skip town for a bit. He'd become too notorious, involved in two public incidents in a day, and one private one.
Besides, he is in need of money. He's ragged looking, bullet holes in his clothing along with some faded bloodstains, but he's mostly clean, and better kept than usual, mismatched boots notwithstanding. He'd need some work, it'd taken pawning off his jacket to a bum and scraping the concrete underneath vending machines clean of change to get enough to pay for the Maglev ticket.
Maybe there was work here. And if there wasn't, well, at least the land was good enough to live off of.

An hour or two after Fourteenth arrives, Kaylee gets off the train at station 49.
'It's good to be home', she thinks, 'it's not as busy here.' Sh's changed into a lighter blouse and skirt, which she prefers over leans and her longsleeve. With her duffel bag slung over her shoulders, she moves towards the exit of the station.

The Phantom Rogue (for that was how she referred to herself when acting as a super, that is to say even more flamboyant than usual) passes Kaylee on the platform. A moment later, she turns and shouts, "Hey, you're that flower girl, ain't ya?"

Kaylee turns around to look at who called at her. She sees the girl that just passed her standing there.
"Yes, I am. How can I help you?" She asks with a bit of hesitance. She's obviously taken aback by being accosted by a total stranger.

Approaching closer to within normal voice distance, she replies, completely ignoring Kaylee's greeting. "Who 'm I? I am... the Phantom Rogue!" She brushes her hair back, and extends her arm and bows dramatically, like a stage magician. (She gets a weird look from a passer-by.) "Oh, and I just wanted to let you know on my way to rob a bank. Since you asked so nicely, you're welcome to join me if you'd like~"

At first Kaylee suppresses a slight urge to snicker, but as the girl - this Phantom Rogue - goes on, she pales. Rob a bank? "E-excuse me? Rob a bank?" She takes a step away from the girl. "N-no way!" She moves her hand to her duffel bag, where she keeps her cellphone.

"Hey, you just shot me!" *feigns being shot* "... C'mon, you're not really going to pull a gun on me? I could be lying out of my arse, and then where would you be?"

"What?" Confusion draws on Kaylee's face. "S-shot you? What are you... eh... oh." She looks at the girl that's standing there being either very silly or dreadfully serious, with her hand hovering near the duffel bag. Quickly she draws her cellphone from a side pocket and flips it open to dial the police if necessary.
"I don't have a gun... I hate guns. But... but I'll call the cops!"

"Callin' the cops? By the time they get here I'll be miles away. But, you're welcome to make the call if it makes you feel safe. Here, you can even have my contact info!"
She reaches into the inside pocket of her jacket, and pulls out a folded slip of paper, with a handwritten message: 'The Phantom Rogue was here~'. ["Phantom Rogue" is split onto two lines and written slightly larger than the rest, with the line of the P elongated.]
Expecing Kaylee to examine the note, the Phantom Rogue boards the train, spontaneously humming a tune and waving goodbye.

Kaylee takes the note in surprise, immediately seeing what is written on it due to her power - contact info, right - and stands there in a bit of a daze. As the girl darts towards the train and boards, Kaylee shakes her head slightly and dials the police. When the train leaves she turns around with her phone to her ear.
"Hello? This is Kaylee Southbrook, I'd like to report something... it might be nonsense, but..." The rest of it is lost in the PA system announcing the next train to Blackwork.

Fourteenth is squatting outside the station, next to a refuse bin wondering exactly what he's going to do. He'd burnt all of his cash on the ticket here, and after waiting in the parking lot for several hours for a hitchhike, the gun stuck under his jacket and the weighty magazines were beginning to become a nuisance, especially with his wounds and low blood sugar; he hadn't eaten anything in a while.
The stitches were beginning to itch in the heat, and he was afraid they might burst. The Immortal was immune to disease and poison, but he certainly didn't /like/ the sensation of immense blood loss. He would have liked to call a cab, but again-- the money.
Living as a bum was easier in Blackwork....

Kaylee strolls out of the station at high speed, not paying too much attention to her surroundings as she finishes her telephone call with the mercury city police station. She was worried about what the girl had said, it looked like she was serious. She passes by the refuse bin as she walks.

Seeing the girl, Fourteenth says in a raspy voice-- his trachea only barely closed, 'Hey. Girl.'
Beckoning her over with his hand, 'Could ya give me a ride?'.

Kaylee starts at the raspy voice next to her, and looks at the gruff man in the tattered clothes. As she turns around to face him, she trips on the edge of the pavement and stumbles towards him.
"Agk..."

As Kaylee is caught by the man, she manages to say only part of what she wants to say...
"No, don't! I'm-guh!" She's cut off as the man catches her, grabbing her arm in the process. Instantly, an unending flood of images flows into her mind at the touch. Her eyes bulge for a second, and then she faints. A miriad of scenes, older and newer, flash before her eyes, the living memories of this man...
The cellphone she was holding drops to the ground and closes, but isn't severely damaged. her duffel bag slumps to her side.
Her body goes limp, her breathing stays regular. She seems to be asleep, but no matter of shaking or prodding will wake her.

Fuck.
The Immortal groans internally. 'Hey. Wake up. Wake up.'
He slaps her lightly on the cheeks, but stops when he realizes he's attracting a lot of stares. Moving into the less public parking lot, he rifles through her bag to find an address, maybe some money for a cab, maybe identification.

There's a wallet in her bag, some clothes, two bundles of keys and a couple of the doodads she bought in Mercury City.
In her wallet Fouteenth finds her ID, her ATM card, about thirty dollars in cash and a crumpled note with a grocery list on it. There's a small piece of paper in one of the windows with the text: "If found, return to Kaylee Southbrook, 17 Silverpine Avenue, Florenceville. You can call me at..." followed by her cell number.

Good enough.
Fourteenth uses to hail a cab. Climbing inside to the quizzical expression of the driver, he explains, 'Fainted from the heat. Take me to 17 Silverpine please.'
The cab driver is suspicious, and who wouldn't be? Fourteenth looks every bit the rugged, scarred bum. But in the end, he takes the money, and they are off.
